I love Mondays.  My friend Rebecca says this is freakish and inconsistent with the general population.  Frankly, her words make up an accurate character description of me, too.

To me, Mondays mean students, stories, and structure.  My students fill my day with questions about our texts, and I enjoy answering them and watching them discover their answers.  Part of my day is also spent teaching creative writing or reading submissions for the Potomac Review which I currently edit.  Also, there is some comfort in the design of a work day — classes in the morning, office hours in the afternoon — and after fun times with friends at the weekend, structure is most welcome.

I envision a Monday, Wednesday, Friday blogging schedule, so check back to see what I’m working on during the week, and where I’ll be spending my money on the weekend.
